Digiseal Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Digiseal ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Digiseal app and related services.

1. Data Collection

• Digiseal app does NOT collect personal data unless you choose to use cloud services.
• If using the cloud, you will verify your account via phone number/SMS. Your phone number is used as an identifier and for key sharing.
• For demonstration mode and on-device use, data remains on your device.
• When using location-based unlocking features, Google/Apple location services may be used.

2. Data Usage

• Your phone number is used to enable secure key sharing, account management, and sending usage alerts.
• Digiseal generates, manages, and tracks digital keys, seals, and access audit trails.
• Data is NOT sold or used for advertising.

3. Data Storage

• By default, all data is stored only on your device unless you activate cloud backup.
• If you use the cloud option:
  • Your phone number and related access records are stored in secure cloud servers.
  • You may share digital keys with other users (identified by their phone numbers).

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• Users may choose to delete their cloud account and data immediately or after a 6-month retention period (allowing restoration within this time).
• After the chosen period, data is permanently deleted.

5. Children's Privacy

• Children may use Digiseal only with keys shared by a parent or guardian.
• The cloud account process requires phone number verification.
• Digiseal does not knowingly collect data directly from children.

6. Security Measures

• Data transferred between the app and hardware uses cryptographic encryption and tamper-proof hardware.
• We implement access controls, audit trails, and data minimization.

7. Third-Party Services

• Digiseal uses Google and Apple location services to determine proximity to locks.
• Data shared with these services is limited to necessary location info for app functionality.

8. International Users

• Digiseal is available worldwide. Users in Europe are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); users in the US may be subject to CCPA.
• You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights.
